Subject: Account Deletion Request — [Your Registered Email or Phone Number]
Please include in your email: Your registered email address or phone number for identity verification. We may ask you to confirm your identity before processing the deletion request to protect against unauthorized deletion requests.
When your deletion request is processed, Travdigi takes the following actions within 15 days of your confirmed request:
🗑️ Permanently Deleted
- Your user profile and display name
- Login credentials and password hash
- Email address and phone number
- Date of birth and personal details
- App preferences and settings
- Active QR tokens and session data
- Dependent profiles linked to your account
- Unverified or pending verification data
⚠️ Retained Under Legal Obligation
- Hotel check-in and check-out records
- Identity verification records
- Compliance audit logs and timestamps
- Walk-in guest records submitted to hotels
- Transaction and payment records
- Law enforcement access logs
- Fraud prevention and security records
Why some data is retained: Hotel guest registers are a legal requirement under Indian hospitality laws and equivalent laws in all jurisdictions where Travdigi operates. Check-in records submitted to hotels during your stays constitute official compliance records and cannot be deleted — they must be retained for the legally required period. This is the same reason traditional paper hotel registers are kept for years.
Your retained data is not used for any commercial purpose whatsoever. It is stored securely and accessed only when required for legal, compliance, or fraud prevention purposes.
- All retained data is stored with AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit
- Access to retained data is strictly role-based — only authorised personnel can access it
- Retained data is never used for marketing, advertising, or any commercial purpose
- Retained data is never sold or shared with any third party except under lawful legal obligation
- Every access to retained data is permanently logged with who accessed it and when
- Identity documents and verification videos are stored in the regional server corresponding to your citizenship — not transferred internationally
Retained data is stored only for as long as required under applicable laws and regulations — after which it is securely and permanently deleted:
- Hotel check-in records: Minimum 1 year as required under Indian hotel compliance laws — longer where required by local law in specific jurisdictions
- Identity verification records: Duration of legal claim defence period — typically 3 years under Indian limitation law
- Audit logs: 7 years — required for legal compliance and fraud prevention
- Payment and transaction records: 7 years — required under Indian financial and tax laws
- Law enforcement access logs: Permanent — these are legal records that cannot be deleted
After retention period ends: All retained data is securely and permanently deleted using industry-standard data destruction methods. You will not be notified of this routine deletion as it occurs as part of Travdigi's automated data lifecycle management.
